Amazing Tips For Traveling Around New Zealand With Campervan Part 2

Day 6
Queenstown
Walk around Queenstown city. Just walk because the city is really small.
Must eat / visit: fergburger (buy the big Al) and cookie bar (close by)
We stay at Novotel Lake side right on the edge of Lake Wakatipu and where is it really close.
Suddenly there was a sign, Sale !! Take a helicopter. For our rich laymen, when are we taking a helicopter ride (this is not an important snack out of budget) Finally we had a 30 minute helicopter city tour including snow landing (stopping at the top of the mountain, to play snow) given 15 minutes on top but the children were not strong either , Because it is cold and the wind is strong.
Option: take the gondola (skyline) further the luge in Queenstown. This is really exciting. We're not leaving because we're in Rotorua.
Option 2. Stay at a holiday park near the city

Puzzling World Wanaka. Many stop taking photos in front of them but don't enter the palace, because the photo spots are good

Day 7

Lake Pearson Arthur Pass

Queenstown - Glenorchy - Kinloch
Just 45 minutes along Lake Wakatipu until you reach Glenorchy. One of the shooting places of Lord of the Ring with a population of 250 people. Soooooo so
finally we explored the area and we tried to go to Kinloch and the scenery was amazing . Cook's lunch at Kinloch. Cost: free

Day 8

Lake Wakatipu
Queenstown - Wanaka
Stop at Arrowtown, walk in this beautiful city (rich old town)
Stop at the lake near Cromwell for lunch
Stop at Puzzling World (kids will love it). You can take a photo in front of him or if you enter, pay 14 dollars (under 5t for free)
Continue to enjoy the sunset at Lake Wanaka while looking at the legendary tree "that Wanaka tree"
Stay at the Kiwi Holiday Park. Cost 70 dollars

Day 9

Incredible milford voice

Wanaka - Frank Joseph
Passing and photo
shoot at Lake Hawea Lunch at Lake Parangi . Be careful on the West Coast there are lots of sandfly (don't know the Indonesian language) but the gatel is like being bitten by mosquitoes and scars.
little walk in Lake Matheson, gorgeous! (on the west coast mostly mirror lakes)
Stay in a motel (because of calm), 280 dollars for 2 rooms complete with kitchen.

Day 10
Frank Joseph - Hokitika - GreyMouth
Stop by at Pahiki (kiwi habitat, but can't find anything else),
Option: can see the Glacier (but we Skip)
In Hokitika take 33km into town to go to Hokitika Gorge
Option: on the highway there is signage "blue pool" it turns out to be good but we skip it because the walk goes in 30 minutes. But it's really good if you see the review.
Stay in a motel (kemaleman again
😅) 260 dollars - 2 rooms

Day 11

That wanaka Tree. The tree in the middle of the lake

Greymouth - Arthur Pass - Christchurch
Scenic road: Arthur pass, views from right to left are great .
Stop at Lake Pearson for lunch
and endless photoshoot along Arthur's Pass.
Overnight in Christchurch.
Dinner: Pedro House of Lamb 50 dollars for the crowd
🙂

Day 12
Return the campervan (we are a day early) and rent a small van (95 dollars) for a puter in the cute city of Christchurch
Visit: Cathedral, Al Noor Mosque, Westfield's biggest mall, Margaret Mahy playground and Hagley Park.
Option: Ride the Tram

Day 13
Returning to Indonesia via Auckland

Campervan rental costs for this leisurely walk:
Just got a credit card bill, it turns out that gasoline runs out 5 million instead of 6 million, the rate is cheaper using CC than paying cash

Total cost of campervan + gasoline + holiday park + motel + milford sound + groceries (excluding hotels in Queenstown and Christchurch, tickets and snacks) 42 million for the six of us for 12 days
